Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) has signed a supply agreement with a global leader in the car detailing industry for an exclusively developed graphene-based solution. The partnership with an undisclosed 'global household name brand' is said to represent a significant milestone for AGM in the car care sector, where it has already announced multiple product launches with smaller participants.

AGM said its new partner is driving innovation in the market and now leads the way in the supply of high-performance auto detailing and finishing products. The addition of AGM's Genable graphene nanoplatelet dispersion technology into car care systems has the potential to significantly improve the barrier performance of waxes, polishes and finishing sprays for vehicles, the company added.

AGM reports its latest half-year financial results

Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) announced its interim results for the six months that ended on January 2022. Revenues were £46,000 (up from £42,000 in the previous half year period), while net loss was £1.9 million (up from £1.8 million).

Despite the low revenues and large loss, AGM's management says that there's a steady growth in potential pipeline projects - as these increased to 192 from 135 last year. The company also updates that it has been progressing with its developments for the battery and hydrogen fuel and storage industries.

Indian company launches new coating based on graphene dispersions by Applied Graphene Materials

Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) has announced that Stanvac-Superon Group, an India-based manufacturer of industrial repair and maintenance solutions, has launched a conductive coating incorporating AGM’s Genable graphene dispersions, for use on industrial power transmission equipment.

Following successful development and testing, the new protective, conductive coating incorporating AGM’s A-GNP35 graphene dispersions will reduce contact resistance in coated copper and aluminium electrical cable joints to reduce the power lost over the connection.

Applied Graphene Materials' graphene-enhanced anti-corrosion primer used by England’s Environment Agency for flood defense applications

Applied Graphene Materials has announced that England’s Environment Agency (EA) has successfully completed its first application of AGM’s harsh environment anti-corrosion product to one of its flood defense assets on the North East coast of England. The coastal flood defense gates were coated with AGM’s new graphene-enhanced Genable CX-based anti-corrosion primer.

The AGM’s coating system used in this project is a further iteration of AGM’s product offerings for barrier performance and anti-corrosion application. It represents the culmination of 18 months of in-depth testing and evaluation of anti-corrosion performance for both salt-spray and immersion in harsh test regimes.

Applied Graphene Materials (AGM), the producer of specialty graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) dispersions, has launched a range of industrial anti-corrosion primers based on its Genable technology.

Graphene nanoplatelets have been shown to provide highly effective barrier and anti-corrosion properties in paints and coatings at extremely low loading levels. Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) has announced the implementation of a key component of its technology roadmap, following a successful grant application supported by the Tees Valley Business Growth Fund (TVBGF), which supports SMEs in the Tees Valley to grow their business, improve productivity and stimulate local growth.

Applied Graphene Materials’ GNPs incorporated into two newly-launched automotive products

Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) has announced that its customer, Constellation Chemicals, has launched two new sealants in its car detailing product range enhanced with AGM’s graphene nanoplatelet technology.

The two products, Parallax, a graphene-enhanced ceramic sealant and Gravity, a graphene-enhanced snow sealant, launch after research and testing by Constellation Chemicals. The growing UK-based manufacturer of car care products claims that they offer performance enhancements such as hydrophobicity, chemical resistance to acid rain, road salt and bird lye and produce excellent durability, gloss, water repellence and beading.

Applied Graphene Materials provides financial updates

Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) recently gave financial updates, as part of which the Company stated it is looking forward to stronger sales growth and has enough cash to fund operations well into 2023 after a £5.5 million fundraise in January.
